Collingswood Crafts and Fine Art Festival coming August 19 and 20

Collingswood — The Collingswood Crafts and Fine Art Festival will be held on August 19 and 20, 2023, on Saturday 11 am-7 pm followed by Market Night to 9 pm and Sunday 10 am-5 pm. Admission is free.

The event will spotlight 200 craft and fine artists selected by jury for excellence of their work in glass, metal, wood, clay, wearable art, jewelry, home, garden and pet products plus photography and fine art in pastel, collage, acrylic and oil. Artists sell their latest work from outdoor booths placed along picturesque Haddon Ave., (Collingswood, New Jersey 08108) in the downtown shopping center.

Restaurant Row, Collingswood’s 20+restaurants featuring Italian, Mexican, French, Indian, Asian, and American cuisines welcomes you to Haddon Avenue plus do find additional delicious grab and go treats from street vendors. Live jazz, folk, and popular music adds ambience and a raffle tent of work generously donated by the artists invites you to “take a chance” while you benefit Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey.

The Artists Alley on Irvin Ave. offers works by emerging artists, a free art lesson, and free and fun make-and-take family art activities. Perkins Center for the Arts, a treasure on Irvin Ave. presents folk art demonstrations of basket weaving, henna design, mandala and duck decoy creating – plus live music, a healing arts tent and morning yoga on Saturday. Also on Saturday night, a gala reception with book signing by Tyrese Gould Jacobs and music plus plein air art. On Sunday, craft demonstrations continue plus an upstairs gallery show by Bancroft Neuroarts.

Face painting, caricatures, balloon artists, the Music Tent by Collingswood Music on Lincoln Avenue will add to the fun.

One lucky winner will receive a “House Portrait” of their home that is painted and framed by watercolor artist Jerry Knott. Enter to win at the Festival – major sponsor Parke Bank’s tent at Haddon and Collings avenues.

Don’t miss the Collingswood Market Night after-party on Saturday night until 9 pm adding more kids and family fun including a Magic Show, sidewalk sales, lawn chair concerts and a Dance Party.

Join in the fun with free parking at Collingswood’s lots or side streets or take the PATCO train from stations in Southern NJ or Center City, Philadelphia.
