Annie Olson has opened Badger Track Customs in Choteau. The business does embroidery, laser engraving, vinyl printing and cutting and can create business signs, banners and stickers, logos on shirts and hats, and more.

Olson was born and raised in Choteau. Most recently, she worked at Benefis Teton Medical Center in public relations and as the executive director the BTMC Foundation.

Feeling it was time to make a change, she decided to open Badger Track Customs. While no longer at BTMC, Olson will still be working with the BTMC Foundation as the administrator to continue planning the Shadows of the Past Art Auction as well as compile the annual mailings and other activities.

Olson has experience in the graphic design, embroidery and vinyl industry, having worked at Black Sheep Sports and Graphics for Blair Patton several years ago. Olson said she knew Choteau had a demand for an embroidery business and she and her husband Jim were in a good point in life to invest in a business and get the process going.

“We stayed in Choteau because we’ve seen the support the community offers,” she said. “It’s a great environment and atmosphere to raise a family in, and it felt like something I wanted to be a part of.”

Olson has a part-time high school student who comes in after school to work in the afternoon. She said sometime soon she will have to hire a full-time employee as operations get busier.

“For short-term goals, I want to continue to establish a customer base and grow it,” Olson said. “I want to learn more about the machines and all the capabilities they have, and figure out what items I can do to best serve the community. For the long-term goals, I want to continue to be relevant in the community and consistently grow the customer base. It will also be nice if we can get a store front in the future.”

Olson is also vice president of the Choteau Chamber of Commerce. She thinks being involved in the Chamber of Commerce is big for any business because of the benefits it can give.

“Community members can like the Facebook page if they are interested and continue to follow along,” she said. “If anyone has any questions or requests, I’m always trying to learn new things.”

Badger Track Customs is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The business can be reached at 406-590-4161 or at [email protected]. Badger Track Customs can also be followed on Facebook at “Badger Track Customs” or on Instagram at “badger_track_customs.”
